About Dr Mahibur Rahman (Director, Emedica) Dr Mahibur Rahman graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine and is currently a GP in Birmingham. He completed his GP training on the Neath Port Talbot VTS in Wales Deanery. Through his role as Director of Emedica, he has been involved in training hundreds of doctors on getting into GP training, as well as doctors preparing for MRCGP / nMRCGP exams. He has also lectured for Pastest, teaching doctors preparing for the MRCGP examination. Dr Rahman is working with Warwick Medical School as a Consultant in Medical Education, helping to develop elearning resources related to the new GP Curriculum for GP trainers and trainees. He is the editor of www.gpst.info the leading online resource on GP training in the UK. The website offers free resources for trainees at all levels, from those applying (F2 / SHO / Staff grade) to GP Registrars. He was the MRCGP questions editor for onmedica.net from 2005 - 2006, writing a monthly set of practice questions for the MRCGP paper 2. He was also the Guest editor of UK Health Informatics Today, for their Special edition on Primary Care Computing (Winter 2006). He completed a Masters degree in Health Informatics at the Centre for Health Informatics and Multiprofessional Education ( CHIME ) at University College London, where his research project was on interactive learning technologies. He received his MSc with distinction. Dr Mahibur Rahman received a Roche / Royal College of General Practitioners GP Registrar award for his project entitled "Health Challenge Quiz: Developing an interactive Health promotion tool". |
